About us

For people who love meat

Vegan Friendly isn't here to change who you are. It's here for the bacon-butty lovers, the Sunday-roast crowd and the post-pub doner regulars who fancy trying a plant-based swap — and want it to be good.

What we do

We start with the meaty food you already love and find the plant-based products, recipes and restaurant options that do the same job. No guilt trips, no graphic videos, no lectures — just flavour, texture and honest pointers on what to buy and how to cook it.

How we check things

  • Vegan status: every product is marked suitable for vegans on the brand's website or a UK supermarket's product page. Brands that make both vegetarian and vegan food (Quorn and Birds Eye Green Cuisine, for example) only appear for their vegan lines.
  • Where to buy: we only list a shop against a product when we found it on that shop's own website.
  • Nutrition: we don't make up numbers. Where we show a protein figure, it comes from the brand's own page and we link to it.
  • No ratings or reviews: we don't publish star scores or taste verdicts we can't back up. We tell you what a product is, what it's for and how to cook it.
  • Health: anything we say about nutrition is based on NHS or British Dietetic Association guidance, and we link to the source.

Products, recipes and menus change all the time. Everything on the site was last checked in September 2026. Always read the pack or ask the restaurant, especially if you have an allergy.

Independent

We're not owned by or connected to any of the brands, supermarkets or restaurants we mention. Brand names belong to their owners and are used only to identify products. Some links may earn us a commission — here's how that works.
